The first step to PDR is good light, this is only achieved with a PDR light. This is arguably the most important step as you can’t fix what you can’t see. The following are some important steps in getting your lighting set up right.

Warm light on light coloured vehicles, & cool light on dark coloured vehicles. Try to eliminate direct light on the panel from other sources like the sun bright LED lights as these will flood the dent and effect what you can see.

Step two: The Right tool

Select the suitable tool for the dent based on the access to rear of the dent, In the case where there is no access available you can use the Glue Pull Repair Method or GPR. Other considerations are how and where you will leverage the tool from.

Step three: Comfort

Make sure you’re comfortable, If you’re not you will strain your body, rush, and be inaccurate. All of the above will result in a poor repair. Do not hesitate to remove parts or a door off the vehicle etc to make it easier.
